Instrument Scholarships
Attention Families, Schools and Friends!
One of the many ways that Stages Music supports community music programs is by providing affordable Band and String Instrument rentals. For the past six years, at the beginning of the school year, we have awarded one lucky musician the use of their instrument RENT FREE. The instrument scholarship is sponsored by Veritas Instrument Rentals (VIR). The winner receives FREE use of their rental instrument for the entire school year (Sept-May). Parents must register in person, at either of our 2 store locations during the month of August. No purchase is required to participate. One winner is chosen randomly and notified by email on September 1st of each year. For more information contact us at 480-948-4720 or 480-502-2494.
We congratulate this year’s 2009 scholarship recipient, Spencer Dare.
Spencer is in the 4th grade at Grayhawk Elementary School where he plays the Alto Saxophone, under the direction of band teacher, Del Stapley. Aside from music, Spencer enjoys playing flag football and skateboarding. He also enjoys singing in the school chorus. When asked what he liked most about Stages Music, he replied: “It’s close, convenient and I like the staff”. J
